Large 19th Century French Oak Refectory Table
Found in Northern France, this 19th century oak refectory or monastery table features a three-inch thick top made from three planks of wood with a gorgeous wood patina that can only be achieved with age. The table rests on a sturdy trestle base constructed using mortise and Tenon joinery and secured by oak wedges. This table could seat eight to ten, but with its narrow depth, it would also make a beautiful console or entry table.
