French Stoneware Cheese Mold Strainer
Found in the South of France, this handmade antique French ‘Faisselle’ cheese mold is constructed in a glazed pottery. Faisselle or ‘framage frais’ (fresh goat cheese) was made by curdling unpasteurized milk and then straining it. This mold has been well used and the imperfections add to the patina. These types of cheese strainers are a great addition to any pottery collection and very useful in the kitchen.
