Pair of 19th Century Zinc and Wood Boots
A rare pair of 19th century zinc and wood clog boots found in France. Zinc uppers have been shaped and nailed to the balsa wood clogs. Reputedly used by eel fishermen to protect the lower portion of their legs while spearing eels. The balsa bottoms have holes in them whether by age or by design. Interesting and curious.
